Is your Snöstorm Snow Foam Lance underperforming, when it used to work just fine? Do you live in a hard water area or have you been using sealant snow foams? It could be that the metal mesh filter has become clogged. Sealants, soap residue and limescale can all clog up snow foam lances and prevent them from foaming properly...

Luckily, it's easy to replace these filters if you have one of our v2 lances. Just remove the metal U-shaped clip in the front grip nozzle section of the lance, and slide off the plastic casing. Pull out the brass bladed section (held in place with an O-ring) and there's the filter inside it at the other end... replace with a new one and reassemble. Simple!

Size: 10x14mm

Please note: In certain circumstances replacing the mesh filter will not cure poor foaming. Assuming a good pressure washer (120 bar+ recommended), good water pressure, good water flow and a good snow foam at the correct concentrations and lance settings, poor performance may be down to a blockage of the main feed hole in the brass body (where the dip tube connects) or in the back of the lance body (where the silver screw insert is). The brass body can sometimes be left to soak overnight in cleaning solution, but it may be difficult to flush debris out. Preventing the dip tube sucking up dirt is imperative. Never allow the snow foam bottle to become dirty inside (rinse thoroughly after use) and always use fresh snow foam solution.

Use as part of a regular maintenance regime for your snow foam lance, or if performance has dropped off. Clogged filters are often the cause of runny, weak foam. Essential in hard water areas or if you use sealant snow foams.

To fit: remove the metal U-shaped clip in the front grip nozzle section of the lance, and slide off the plastic casing. Pull out the brass bladed section (held in place with an O-ring) and remove the filter inside it at the other end... replace with a new one and reassemble.

Q: Do these work with all snow foam lances?

A: These are generally compatible with most snow foam lances, however, if you need to check the size, remove the old gauze first. These are 10x14mm size.

Q: Will this definitely cure my weak or dribbly foam?

A: In certain circumstances replacing the mesh filter will not cure poor foaming.

Q: Any other snow foam lance hints and tips?

A: Preventing the dip tube sucking up dirt is imperative. Never allow the snow foam bottle to become dirty inside and always use fresh snow foam solution. Rinse out the snow foam bottle thoroughly after use.
